How do I set up emacs with auctex on windows if I don't have a "pristine emacs installation"?
I'm running windows and trying to get emacs to be able to typeset tex documents [I don't want to have to open up another program to create or view a typeset version of my .tex document].
I found this page (http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/download-for-windows.html) and it has instructions for a "pristine emacs installation" but I don't what I should do since my emacs installation isn't pristine.
I'm relatively new to emacs so please try not to assume so much knowledge.
